Woodside Fire Station, London, required modernisation of its front appliance bay doors to comply with updated legal requirements.
The London Fire Brigade contracted Arkas Ltd to complete the project. We removed their old timber bi-folding doors, and designed, manufactured and installed new power operated bi-folding doors which match the exact appearance of the old doors, but exceed them in their efficiency and functionality.
The new fully automatic doors with safety edges, photocells, internal traffic lights and external digital keypad – which were installed without any interruption to the operations of the fire station – enable the London Fire Brigade to continue their fast and effective emergency service across the city of London in an improved and modernised manner.
